Researcher / Project leader Process Technology
Organisatieomschrijving
This organisation, headquartered in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, holds worldwide leading positions in the production, handling and supply of organic peroxides and metal alkyls, used as polymerization initiators. Polymer Chemicals has 15 production plants in Europe, North America, South America, Japan and Asia-Pacific. The products are primarily used in the production of thermoplastic polymers and thermoset plastic materials, but find various other applications as well.
Functieomschrijving
The ECG Process Technology has expertise in various areas of process technology. The focus of the groups work is on creating break-through processes and technologies, optimising existing processes/process steps and defining scale up rules.
They have state of the art laboratory facilities for small scale production, scale up and we have excellent modelling tools.
Responsibility
• exploring alternative & novel technologies and process concepts, involving experimental programs
• looking beyond the horizon, to identify and use the most appropriate technology to meet given project challenges
• putting safety first and carrying out safety assessments
• working with pace and scientific rigour in interpretation and analysis of experimental data, modelling results, deducing insights and recommending for further work
• explaining, presenting and reporting project results
• defining project proposals for the Business Units
Functie-eisen
• education in Chemical Technology-Process Technology (PhD, PDEng or MSc.)
• besides being a good process technologist preferably can strengthen the team in the field of Heterogeneous catalysis reaction engineering or in the field of Separation Technology in combination with reactor design
• can carry out and lead projects, work collaboratively across boundaries
• good communication skills and able to build trustful relations with internal colleagues and external contacts
• dare to think differently and continuously strive to improve themselves
